Route modifications beginning February 4th, 2008 :

  • Campus loop will now turn right on Sessom Dr. when leaving the student center and travel to N. LBJ Dr.; north to Holland Dr.; then west back on the current route on Academy.  The stop on Alamo St. at Primo’s will move across the street to Holland St at Alamo.  Two new stops will be added to the route; the first at Stonegate on N. LBJ Dr, the second on Holland St. just west of N. LBJ Dr.  This will allow those living on N. LBJ to receive more service capacity as the Campus Loop route and the Ranch Road route will provide service to this area.

  • Aquarena/Blanco combo route will add a service departure from the Commons on Bobcat Trail at 5:15 pm.  This will provide an additional departure time for students, faculty and staff leaving campus after a 5:00 pm work day, and offer additional inbound service to campus for persons attending evening classes beginning at 6:15 pm.  This service change will be noted on both the Aquarena and Blanco schedules online.

.

Modifications and Changes Effective January 14th, 2008 :

  • The largest change for most routes is the closure of N. LBJ, the Quad stop, and the Hines stop beginning in January to allow the construction of the new north bus loop; this construction will continue through December of 2008.

  • Post Road, Blanco River, and Aquarena Springs routes will pick-up and drop-off at the bus stops on Bobcat Trail near the Commons.

  • Ranch Road route will discontinue service to Stonegate and Windmill and will add a stop at Holland and N. LBJ St. This will allow passengers in this area of town a continued connection to campus and will allow the bus route to better maintain scheduled service. The campus service point for this route will continue to be the LBJ student center.

  • Campus loop will not travel up N. LBJ to the Quad, but will continue up Sessom Dr. to the LBJ student center; we will continue to drop passengers off at the West Commuter stop at Academy St. and Speck St. after 11:00 am, but will not pick up passengers at this location. Service inside the lot will be provided by Parking Services using small passenger vans. Call 245.7233 for additional information on the van service.

  • Bobcat Stadium will travel direction from east campus parking and Bobcat Village directly to the LBJ student center; no service to N. LBJ or the Quad during the 2008 calendar year; an additional stop will be added at Sessom and Peques St. and at Sessom Dr. and State St. to provide frequent connections to east campus.

  • No location or stop changes to the Clarewood route. The full 2008 spring service schedule should be posted to this web site by December 17th.

  • Night Service will remain expanded to three routes:

    • Service begins at 8:35 pm.
    • Routes will serve all stops off campus
    • Inbound, (service from and to campus), will be provided on all but the last service time leaving campus.
    • Service will be expanded beyond 10:35 pm. The last service departure from campus will now be 11:25 pm.
    • Service will depart from the Commons on Bobcat Trail, with connecting service at 8:20 pm between the LBJ student center and Commons for the first evening departures at the commons.

Modifications and route changes beginning January 2, 2008:

  • Austin route: service will run a Holiday schedule; service to campus at 7:30 am and 7:26 pm; service departure from Mill Street in San Marcos at 5:35 am and campus at 5:10 pm. The normal service schedule will return, (with slight modifications) on January 14th. Additional service to San Marcos is available from Highland Mall in Austin to the San Marcos bus and train station, (a 10-15 minute walk to campus), via Greyhound.

  • San Antonio route: service will run a Holiday schedule; service to campus with 7:45 am and 6:55 pm arrival times; service departures from the San Marcos park-and-ride at 5:55 am and the campus at 5:10 pm. The normal service schedule will resume, (with slight modifications), on January 14th. Additional service to San Marcos is available from 500 N St. Marys St in Downtown San Antonio, one block west of Travis Park near the riverwalk to the San Marcos bus and train station via Greyhound.

  • On- and off-campus service: No TxTram service will be provided between December 12th, 2007 and January 13th. Service around town and to campus will continue to be available via CARTS. Service to students, faculty and staff traveling to and from campus is always free of charge.
